The practice squad membership is an opportunity for players who may not quite be at the skill level to compete on one of the Carolina Elite teams, to still attend the practices and train in the program. Players who are on the practice squad may compete on another travel team if that opportunity is not available to them with Carolina Elite. However, the practice squad is not available to those players who are skilled enough to compete on a Carolina Elite team, but simply choose not to.
