Carolina Elite Titans

The Carolina Elite Titans will open their 3rd season of competition this fall (sometime around Labor Day). The Titans are coming off the most successful 10u season in Carolina Elite history, and look to carry that momentum into their 11u campaign. The recipe for this team's success is the depth of quality players on the Titans roster. Many young teams struggle to put 9 decent ballplayers on the field at the same time. The Titans were able to bring as many as 12 quality players to many of their tournament games. This allowed them some flexibility to move guys around, and limit the amount of times I had to play someone in a situation where their skillset put them at a disadvantage, and put us in a bad matchup (example having to keep a slow runner on base in a situation where that run is important, or having to play a kid in a defensive position where he's not strong, because we simply don't have anyone else to put there). By having more than just 9 decent players it allows you to stay out of situations where you have to do that. Moreover, the depth of good players creates good competition within the team for playing time. I think the worst thing on a team is a situation where a player doesn't have anyone "pushing" him for playing time. Players (regardless of age) know when there are footsteps behind them. Those footsteps are what drive a player to work hard in practice, and bust their tail in a game (because they know if they don't, there's a player on their own team that will gladly take their place on that field). It's this "internal" competition that has kept the Titan players focused, and driven to continue to improve, so that their names are called for more, and more playing opportunities.

If you are interested in joining this group, please contact James Molinari at the email, or phone number at the bottom of this page. You are eligible to join the Titans if you were born on, or after May 1, 2000. As with all Carolina Elite Baseball teams please disregard roster size. Attendance is optional at all our tournaments, and so the actual traveling roster is almost always smaller than what you see listed on the website due to players missing tournaments. Moreover, this entire program is about learning to compete, and even if there is a large roster at a particular tournament your son will have an opportunity to earn his time and make it onto the field - the rosters are never closed!!!
